Education
     Attended Ford City Jr.-Sr. High School.  Was voted most popular of the senior class of 1972.  Gary was a representative of Student Council and belonged to several extra-curricular activities.  Gary received varsity letters in football, basketball and track. 
     Graduated from Westminster College in 1976 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with the area of concentration being in accounting.  While attending Westminster College, Gary was a freshman men Resident Assistant during his junior and senior years.  He was the corresponding secretary of Phi Kappa Tan Fraternity.
     Gary attended the Institute of Financial Education at Point Park College while a branch manager with Peoples Federal Savings and Loan Association during 1978-1979.
     He attended various real estate courses from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, the Pennsylvania Association of Realtors, National Association of Real Estate Appraisers and Polley Associates, Inc.  Gary has attended all necessary continuing education classes for sales, broker license and for appraisal license.

Experience
     In high school- several phases of the dry cleaning business cleaning and pressing clothes, truck route, janitorial services, cleaning rugs and front desk/receptionist.
     In high school- groundskeeper and maintenance person for Minihita Cottages and Woak-Hanne Village.  Assisted in building a boat marina.
     College- a resident assistant as described in “Education” section.  Participated in an internship program, with McLean Trucking Company.
     Post-College- was a branch manager of a federally chartered savings and loan association from 1976-1979.  Handled all phases of the mortgage lending process from application to closing.
     In September of 1979, Gary began selling real estate on a full time basis and assisted on completing appraisals on residential, commercial, farms, raw land and industrial sites.
     Gary received associate broker license in December of 1982.  Since that time, he has been performing appraisals for estates, individual, banks, corporations, commercial businesses and industries.  A few areas of specialization have been for rights  of ways, tax assessment appeals, and reporting fair market values on estates.
     Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae appraisals have been prepared over the years for such banks as;

     Gary received the designation of the Graduate Realtors Institute in 1982.  He also received Certified Real Estate Appraiser designation in December of 1988 and Broker/Appraiser Certification in November 1996. 
     Gary became Broker of Record for the Altman Real Estate Agency, Inc. in the spring of 1996.

     Gary has served on various committees since he was inducted into the GAKA Board of Realtors in 1979.  He has been a Notary Public for 9 years and is a member of the National Notary Association.  His hobbies are:  brewing homemade beer, baking bread, listening to music, watching sports events that his children participate in and scuba diving.  Gary was chosen to Who’s Who Among Top Executives 1998-99.
